    Not for the pestilence that walks in darkness;

All previous predictions have been proven wrong: ask anyone living in 2201 and they'll tell you the apocalypse happened in 2199. In the wake of disastrous scientific advances, unaffected and evolved humans alike must band together to survive, and two years after the initial outbreak, the dust has far from settled.

The Orion Legacy is a post-apocalyptic/cyberpunk RPG that takes place in the seemingly forgotten island-state of Hawaii, cut off from the suffering mainland in every possible way and left to survive on its own. Check out our Wiki for game mechanics, information, and how to submit an application.

    Musings
The essence of our stories has always existed.

In the world nearest to ours, there is a population of people, growing yet eternal and immortal, who spring from us - from our imaginations, from the seed of creativity that is the new existence of a definitive fictional character. You won't find replicas there, for the movement between planes is a changing thing, and you'll need to delve deep for the essence of our originals in Musings.

In Seattle, a one-way portal between planes has allowed these beings to filter into societies all over earth, where they live mortal lives and find fulfillment in the power this world offers - however short the time to enjoy it. Rumors in Musings abound, telling of generations making lives here... and the exodus has begun.

Equipped with supernatural abilities that do not exist in our world, the Creations (as they call themselves) find new challenges here. Among the immigrants there are those who wish to use their abilities for power and control of others; those who wish to defend the race they have joined, powerless though humans are; and those who would prefer to live their own lives in this new promised land.

On January of 2009, hundred years prior to the storyline, there was a worldwide pulse that triggered a domino effect of destruction. A massive majority of the human population dropped dead almost instantly from the pulse, the rest left in a state of confusion and fear. Soon thereafter the dead rose again, now turned into a living nightmare — zombies. For two years what remained of the world tried to start over, with the assistance of what people believed was a beneficial organization. After two years of losing the battle against the zombies, however, the organization took drastic action.

On January 20, 2011, atomic bombs were dropped worldwide. It was a nuclear war, like the kind everyone had always feared about in those times, and things ended up just as bad as everyone had always imagined. The bombs were dropped in hopes that it would cease the movements of the undead, but it ended up doing exactly the opposite. It drove humanity itself onto the brink of extinction, and supercharged the infected turning them from undead superpowers to real monsters from the black abyss of nightmares. Needless to say, the organization was done for.

A small group of society managed to open a tunnel way in Ireland, a system of tunnels they worked on for safety precautions that ended up being the salvation of the last bits of humanity. Word was sent out over scattered signals as best as could be done, and people were drawn to safety in the underground location. A new society was formed, and from that day onward humanity had officially begun its own rebirth.

”Oh my God… It’s gone. It’s all gone.”

October 14th, 2009. The President is assassinated by the Brotherhood
of Mutants in an explosion that levels ten square blocks of Manhattan.
Over 50,000 are killed, humans and mutants alike. The
Brotherhood hopes that this will prove to the world that mutants are
not going to go down easily. There is now a gaping hole in the Earth
where Madison Square Garden once stood. New York City is reduced
to a state of martial law.

”Don’t tell me what I can and can’t do, I know the laws! Kill them!
Kill them right now! Every single last mutant scum man, woman,
    and child!”

The new President has made it obvious that he wants mutants dead,
and he wants them dead now. Project Trinity is promoted the
government’s latest project to create the ultimate weapon to
eliminate the mutant threat once and for all – a mutant super soldier
to be brainwashed to kill his own kind. Chosen from the masses
because of his untapped skills that could make him the most powerful
mutant known to man, first things first – he must be captured, and
the government must send one of their own, an unsuspecting victim
    herself, to lure him out.

”Damn it, you can’t die on me! Wake up, please, just wake up… You
    can’t leave me alone!”

For the mutants who themselves are innocent victims, there is
nothing much left besides hope and instinct. For those in hiding, it is
just a waiting game as the walls close in around them. For those who
choose to fight back, every move they make can be their last.
Meanwhile, humans have been beaten into fear by their government,
all of it caused by one vengeful man who chose to pick one scapegoat
from the masses after the death of his family. And now this fear is
    spreading.

”These are the new days of infamy. This fugitive generation, they
will not get away with their crimes. Together, the world will win and
humanity will prevail once and for all. Let us remember our dead
and now focus our eyes on a future free of the mutant threat. May
God have mercy on us all.”

    THIS IS THE FUGITIVE GENERATION.
THESE ARE THE DAYS OF INFAMY.

The Fugitive Generation is an AU X-Men RPG, rated R for
violence and some adult themes. We are rated intermediate to
advanced and are looking for people who want to explore something
that the RPG world has not seen from an X-Men RPG before. We take
no prisoners and we have no mercy. We’re ready to blow this world to
    pieces.

    NO KNOWLEDGE OF X-MEN NEEDED!

It’s supposed to be the golden age of England. Harriet Jones leading the way. But she isn’t. Rumors of her ill health have made the citizens uneasy. In comes the man of the hour, Harold Saxon. He’s brilliant, charming and just so… good. The world looks to him to take a larger role in politics. And he’s not one to disappoint. He’s running for Prime Minister and most everyone are just counting the days. Those few who aren’t enthralled with his amazing greatness are too few to really matter. Everyone knows who will win the election and Harold Saxon promises he will change the world.

    Welcome to Year of Paradox.

The game will start as Saxon is running for Prime Minister. His winning the election is fixed (will happen in game) as is his taking over the Earth. Anything after that is free form. The implementation of the paradox machine will make unexpected ripples, affecting the rift in Cardiff in an unusual way. As such the rift will be bringing through people two months before the activation of the paradox and a month or so after the activation. There will be no new arrivals after two months after the activation of paradox. New characters from other places may be brought in game but they would have been ‘off screen’ and on the Earth during that time.

This tear in the rift means that people can bring in characters from realities other than Doctor Who or Torchwood. They can even bring in future characters and OC’s. However, we will be limiting the genre’s involved. This is mostly so we can make sure that the feeling of the game remains. No character should be able to easily deal with the Toclafane. They are the major threat in the game and should be dealt with as such. WE have a tentative listing of genre’s but if you want to play someone from one not listed, contact a mod with some information on the genre and we will consider whether or not the character will be allowed.

This game is a dark adult RPG. There will be death, violence and other adult concepts. While some posts may be lighthearted, we ask that any R posts be friend-locked. Also, as mentioned there will be death, a lot of death. Your character may die, especially high risk characters (IE Torchwood, or people the master is looking for.) and characters that engage in high risk behavior. (IE attacking the Toclafane, being known for going against the Master) Also we ask that everyone consider making a character that they know will die. (Especially for the huge 10% death attack). It would be nice to have characters that other characters actually care about die in the game. We are going for a realistic dark world under the control of the Master and his Toclafane.

So are you ready to enter the YEAR OF PARADOX?

Check out our taken and wanted page. Fill out an application. We’ll be glad to have you.

Characters Needed/Wanted: Rhys Williams (Torchwood), Sarah Jane (SJA/Doctor Who), Alistair Lethbridge-Stewart (Doctor Who), Clive Jones (Doctor Who), Tish Jones (Doctor Who), Francine Jones (Doctor Who)

Current genre’s allowed are: Torchwood, Doctor Who, White Wolf Vampire, Buffy, Angel, Harry Potter, Highlander, CSI, NCIS, Firefly, Due South, Bones & Criminal Minds.

death is but the doorway to new life – we live today, we shall live again, in many forms shall we return.

After traveling back home from the Oasis of Ahm Shere after the defeat of Mathayus the Scorpion King, the O’Connells finally settled back down in London. Young Alex O’Connell returned to his studies, Evelyn took the Bembridge Scholars offer and became the Head Curator of the British Museum, and Rick decided to enjoy the time off from fighting the undead. Although peace was thought to have returned after the hardships they faced, it came to a shattering end when Ardeth Bey walked upon the O’Connell manors doorstep a year later. It was Rick who had opened the door that evening and much to his dismay, he received unfavorable knowledge as the bearer of bad news entered his household. As Ardeth told the tale of the Amulets of Karawan, two powerful amulets that were capable of leading the world to its undoing, Rick knew his assumptions were right.

The legend told began back in Ancient Egypt when Pharaoh Seti I requested a powerful amulet to be made by the Egyptian Goddess Hathor. It was not only to ensure his protection but his family’s as well. Hathor accepted Pharaoh Seti’s request and offered the Amulet of Khaldun, a ka necklace that had the powers of immortality and invulnerability. Pharaoh Seti accepted Hathor’s offering and wore the necklace at all times. The Egyptian God Set witnessed this transaction take place and decided to offer an amulet of his own. He created the Amulet of Setesh, a Was scepter that had the powers of time travel. After the amulets completion Set had sent a servant in order to present it to the pharaoh. The pharaoh accepted Set’s offering after the servant told him he required nothing in return. As word spread overtime about two powerful amulets that were within Egypt’s territory, armies formed throughout the known world and they traveled to Egypt in order to capture them. The pharaoh did not know that this was Set’s original intention and upon decision due to the anarchy that it caused, he activated an ability of the Amulet of Setesh. When both amulets were placed beside one another they transported themselves to the year 1934, approximately one year after the defeat of Mathayus the Scorpion King.

Another tale was told as Ardeth revealed more information on Imhotep’s priests. He said that while they were mummified along with their master their descendants were still living today as an enemy Bedouin clan known as the Djed. Both clans were made unaware that the sheikh of the Djed was none other than the reincarnation of Pharaoh Seti I under a new alias and persona. As he recalled little information of his past life at the time, the sheikh successfully located the Amulet of Khaldun at Hamunaptra and retrieved the Book of the Dead in order to resurrect Imhotep and Anck-su-namun. The Egyptian God Set had transported their corpses to their original resting place along with the Book of the Dead and Amun-Ra. When they were resurrected successfully, the sheikh handed Anck-su-namun the Amulet of Khaldun so that she could not be harmed and to aid her in her return to her human state. Unknowingly to the sheikh at the time, an elder of the Djed was capable of deciphering the sheikh’s strange visions of ancient times and spoke secretly with Imhotep and Anck-su-namun. He told them that the sheikh was the reincarnation of Pharaoh Seti I and that he was currently unaware of their treason. He then advised them to act as his once faithful courtiers.

As this phenomenon occurred the O’Connells were unaware that the Amulet of Khaldun was obtained by the Djed and that Imhotep and Anck-su-namun were resurrected. Furthermore, they had left for London soon after. With the O’Connells now on the move and the Djed now after the Amulet of Setesh, the journey has yet to be written, let alone the destination. What becomes of this tale is left up to you as you decide your fate, your side, along with the fate of the world!

Gotham: Year One is a pan-fandom, post-cataclysmic Gotham roleplaying game. The DC Universe provides the backdrop for the game, but characters played in the game may come from any established fictional canon source -- comics, anime, books, films, television, et cetera. After the opening plot cataclysm, characters appear in the city through unstable wormholes, and the focus of the game is rebuilding, stone by stone and person by person amidst the turmoil of the cut-off and broken-down city, and trying to get out.

The mods provide a broad canvas and unrolling storyline for the city amidst which players are encouraged to generate their own plots as well as participate in larger plot movements.

You awaken in a room that is devoid of decorations. You are lying on a small cot, a table beside you. Upon the table is a device, similar to that of a PDA. Closer inspection reveals your name inscribed upon the back below an insignia the likes of which you have never seen.

The device is on. On the screen is a note, written in your native tongue. Once the letter is finished, it disappears and in its place is a map leading you to your assigned housing. The door to the room opens at this time and a computerized voice tells you to exit. The corridor is long and narrow. It deposits you out onto an unfamiliar street. The city is large, the architecture foreign. The door behind you closes and you are left alone.

Feel free to explore. You cannot leave the city but all of your needs will be met. Anything you can want, within reason, can be found here. The locals are mostly friendly and compassionate. Their duty is to make your stay here a comfortable one. After all, you are their guest. You are their responsibility.

You are now a member of Project Papillon.
