Are you looking for a good, active, X-Men RPG?
One with exciting missions, good character drama and a whole slew of original and different story lines by the moderators? Are you tired of playing canon characters and want to let your original ideas out of the box?
Then this is the rpg for you.
My name is Sara and I'm in need of some talented and active writers for my X-Men game. We have a cast of characters already in play, with a backing of some very skilled writers with years of experience. This is an RPG where original characters and creativity thrive.
Set a few years in the future, the Mutant Registration Act has been passed, as well as the controversial Safety Act, which calls for mutants to be segregated and rounded into camps for containment and control purposes. Some mutants who register go on with their lives... but some don't; some disappear overnight. Many have taken to the streets to escape Registration and the Sentinels, but
even that isn't a guarantee of safety. There are disappearances even out of doorsteps and alleyways, and there are rumors that the mutant interment camps aren't as safe and fair as the government claims...
Many of the X-Men are dead, imprisoned, or missing, but the remaining X-Men have brought together a set of new teams to try and carry on the legacy in a world where they have to fight for their own survival. In a time dangerous to mutants and super-humans alike, the X-Men find themselves acting as the vigilante, the criminal, and sometimes as the milquetoast.
Welcome to Dark Horizons, an XMen RPG for original characters. We're accepting members now! More information is available automatically with pending membership. Questions? Don't hesitate to ask.

Oh, it's a common topic that's been visited a dozen times before. You and I both know the drill! School is where cliques form and the survival of the fittest is taken into a twisted mentality. Its where drama is sparked on every individual day. Well, here there is no dramatic happening in these teens' lives which make them all bond together. There's nothing that makes them suddenly fall in love. They aren't trapped in a house together. They aren't forced to be around each other. Really, there's nothing to cement these kids with one another. However, they're united by a single characteristic. They each belong to cliques. They each find it difficult to break free from the boundaries they created for themselves, yet...they need only remember that cliques are paper thin.
Paper'Cliques is a high school role play centered around a gossip site. We aim to have a small, close-knit community. Canons and originals available!
Let's start from the beginning shall we?
Once upon a time, the Vatican ordered a man to create angels. Their job would be to either bring the world back to God, or purge their wickedness from the world. Of course, what they got were far from angels.
Samuel Bishop intertwined the blood of humans and birds to create a new species. They were trained, treated like warriors, each one having special abilities and all having the amazing gift of flight.
But Samuel knew better, he saw over time that he had cursed the world with their existence. He began to kidnap the children and give them back to the women who bore them, sending them away to live their own lives. Sadly, Samuel doesn't have a happy ending. They found out about him, and killed him for disobeying. They attempted to round up all of those who were lost, but soon, they too saw the errors of their ways.
A group called The Birds of Prey, their warriors sent out to collect those who had been set free, mirrors of the heavenly hosts, were becoming excessively violent. When the religious order demanded they all be killed, wipe the slate clean and pretend that it never happened, they found out and they felt betrayed.
They caused a scene, destroying half the city with their elaborate escape, and now they are free in our world.... Creatures that are not quite human and not quite angels.
Some will worship them like gods, others will demand they are put to death. All they want is to live a normal life, to forget about their past as slaves, and to move on.
So! You think you have enough guts to fly in the Windy City? With humans who hate you, members of your own kind who will walk over you to get to the top, and then others will worship you like a god, how do you plan on staying a-flight?

Offering a detailed, lush, medieval fantasy environment with opportunities for epic tales and excitement lurking at every turn, Laun is a haven for writers that yearn for something different from the norm.
We don't want to complicate anything. Laun simplifies roleplaying -- we cultivate an environment where the simple enjoyment of writing and storyweaving is valued above pretty pictures and pre-determined plots. Spontaneity keeps us enchanted.
So, traveller. Will you come to our land, where the only boundary is the edge of your imagination?
We are waiting for you.
Feel the Magic Since the beginning of time the creatures of magic have been awed, wanted, and hunted down. Religions fade and fall. Fears grow and abate. The beings of this world change, grow, and they adapt. Lost in the world grander than its dreams, a small town beckons you. Its name is Crystal Falls, nestled in the middle of one of the largest lakes of the south. The only way in is through boat or flight. There are others here like you. They live normal lives, adapting their ways as you have had to do to survive with your freedom. You wonder how many of them know. You wonder just how long you all have until the fear grows, questions go unanswered, and the hunts begin. You wonder if the humans will be able to stay, as some wish to keep the island for the mythical creatures only. For now, this town is safe, a haven for the mystical creatures of lore. They welcome you with open arms. Most are friendly like no other place in the world. More are coming, drawn to the power already here in this enchanted land, and by the powers of the ones long settled here. The promise of protection, friendship, family, normalcy, whatever it is you want out of your life is here and now. How long will it last? Who can you trust? Welcome to Mystic Realm. |

Ever feel like the world's just got you down? That it's bigger than you really think? That there really might be blood-thirsty monsters on your tail? That those teachers just don't understand that you can ace a mythology test but still fail English? Well, kid, you're in the right place. Welcome to Cabin Eleven, a 'dressing room' style RP for Percy Jackson & the Olympians. Named after the infamously welcoming summer habitat of Hermes' half-blood offspring, the community is intended for those who don't want to have to deal with the stress of activity checks, taken-character lists, or application processes (though we're not stopping you). Here at Camp Half-Blood we don't sort you with any silly singing hat, you sort yourselves (because lets face it--your parents might not be up to it). We accept both book and film canons, the various greek deities, and canon!original characters. Feel free to use the community as a springboard for new characters, or even a crack-filled free-for-all. We're pretty chill here. Just please keep in mind that not only are some characters going to be pulled in from other games, but that we may have several mirrors--which is most of the fun of it! Also, while we're pretty accepting here in Cabin Eleven of all sorts of various shenanigans, keep all that lovey-dovey stuff in Cabin Ten. They're better at dealing with the mess of broken hearts. CAMP ORIENTATION:

Gotham: Year One is a pan-fandom, post-cataclysmic Gotham roleplaying game. The DC Universe provides the backdrop for the game, but characters played in the game may come from any established fictional canon source -- comics, anime, books, films, television, et cetera. After the opening plot cataclysm, characters appear in the city through unstable wormholes, and the focus of the game is rebuilding, stone by stone and person by person amidst the turmoil of the cut-off and broken-down city, and trying to get out.
The mods provide a broad canvas and unrolling storyline for the city amidst which players are encouraged to generate their own plots as well as participate in larger plot movements.
