Since the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum, warden Quincey Sharp has taken credit for Batman's successful quelling of Joker's uprising and used that momentum to win Gotham City's mayoral election. The first of his broad-sweeping plans is to proclaim Arkham Asylum and Blackgate prison unfit to house criminals. Sharps buys up a large swath of Gotham's slums and walls it off, stocking the perimeter with highly trained armed mercenaries from an outfit named Tyger. All prisoners are transported to this new facility dubbed Arkham City approximately one year after the events at the asylum. They are given only one rule under threat of death: do not try to escape. No other policing takes place inside, leaving a mix of two-bit criminals and super villains to eke out an existence in this lawless, ruthless ecosystem.

Arkham City is only loosely based on the game of the same name. Seeing as the game isn't even out yet, that's a given. If you want to explore character development in a lawless society, then you're in the right place.
Arkham City...
Is chaos incarnate. There is no law here, no structure, no civility, no God. The inmates have free reign so long as they stay within the Arkham City walls.
Tyger Mercenaries
These ruthless men and women are here for one reason and one reason alone: To keep all hell from spilling out of Arkham and into the general public. They're armed, they're dangerous and they definitely shoot first. Fuck the questions.
Criminals
These are the poor, unlucky souls who really get the brunt of things. Whether you were holding up a grocery store so you could feed your family, or you were caught breaking parole, or you were dealing drugs --if you were locked up in Blackgate for it you're stuck with the crazies now. Good luck.
Villains & the Criminally Insane
The biggest reason Arkham City was formed. If you were transferred from Arkham Asylum, then you're in this category. These are the high rollers, the big bads, the people you don't want piss off. Nearly all of Batman's rogues gallery falls into this category. Oh, and hey! The mercenaries have a pool going on who'll successfully appoint them self mayor first. My money's on Two-Face.

On January of 2009, hundred years prior to the storyline, there was a worldwide pulse that triggered a domino effect of destruction. A massive majority of the human population dropped dead almost instantly from the pulse, the rest left in a state of confusion and fear. Soon thereafter the dead rose again, now turned into a living nightmare — zombies. For two years what remained of the world tried to start over, with the assistance of what people believed was a beneficial organization. After two years of losing the battle against the zombies, however, the organization took drastic action.
On January 20, 2011, atomic bombs were dropped worldwide. It was a nuclear war, like the kind everyone had always feared about in those times, and things ended up just as bad as everyone had always imagined. The bombs were dropped in hopes that it would cease the movements of the undead, but it ended up doing exactly the opposite. It drove humanity itself onto the brink of extinction, and supercharged the infected turning them from undead superpowers to real monsters from the black abyss of nightmares. Needless to say, the organization was done for. A small group of society managed to open a tunnel way in Ireland, a system of tunnels they worked on for safety precautions that ended up being the salvation of the last bits of humanity. Word was sent out over scattered signals as best as could be done, and people were drawn to safety in the underground location. A new society was formed, and from that day onward humanity had officially begun its own rebirth. Condemnations is an original, PB-based RP game now taking place in a post-apocalyptic society! The school of Lowood in the tiny town of Castalian Springs is an intensely private school hidden away near the West Coast. However, what appears to be simply a high-class boarding school is much more than that. There is something unusual about the students and staff of this school—each of them is the reincarnated soul of a long-dead author. There's more to the game than this, though; for some time literary apparitions have been appearing in the Springs, in the form of characters, places, and items straight from the original stories of these authors.
As the fictional world collides with the real world, the students of Lowood are required to divide their time between sorting out their relationship status, avoiding the teeth of Dracula, and finishing their homework assignments on time. This RPG is well-established and has a lively community of friendly players—and talented writers to boot. Play is most frequently done through IM, and the game has plenty of room for your own plot ideas and development with literary apparitions. Ever feel like the world's just got you down? That it's bigger than you really think? That there really might be blood-thirsty monsters on your tail? That those teachers just don't understand that you can ace a mythology test but still fail English? Well, kid, you're in the right place. Welcome to Cabin Eleven, a 'dressing room' style RP for Percy Jackson & the Olympians. Named after the infamously welcoming summer habitat of Hermes' half-blood offspring, the community is intended for those who don't want to have to deal with the stress of activity checks, taken-character lists, or application processes (though we're not stopping you). Here at Camp Half-Blood we don't sort you with any silly singing hat, you sort yourselves (because lets face it--your parents might not be up to it). We accept both book and film canons, the various greek deities, and canon!original characters. Feel free to use the community as a springboard for new characters, or even a crack-filled free-for-all. We're pretty chill here. Just please keep in mind that not only are some characters going to be pulled in from other games, but that we may have several mirrors--which is most of the fun of it! Also, while we're pretty accepting here in Cabin Eleven of all sorts of various shenanigans, keep all that lovey-dovey stuff in Cabin Ten. They're better at dealing with the mess of broken hearts. | The Kuiper belt is a cold, cold place.
So far out on the edge of the solar system that the sun itself looks like just another star, no measurable amount of heat warms the surface of the tiny asteroid Icelus, or its much larger sibling Morpheus. The two ancient conglomerations of ice and rock exist in a world of perpetual night. The sun's gravity is just barely strong enough at this distance to keep the two asteroids from drifting off into deep space. It is a dark, cold, and most of all, lonely existence. Or at least, it was. How you arrived on Icelus, you can't say for sure. But it appears as though this frozen rock was waiting for your arrival. There are others here now as well, equally lost and confused. Who brought all of you here? What purpose did they have in mind? How do you get home? The questions are troubling, but a quick exploration of your new surroundings reveals a more immediate concern. Unless you learn to work with your fellow abductees, and quickly, not one of you will survive. You have your work cut out for you. We will be officially opening for play on February 1st. Gotham: Year One is a pan-fandom, post-cataclysmic Gotham roleplaying game. The DC Universe provides the backdrop for the game, but characters played in the game may come from any established fictional canon source -- comics, anime, books, films, television, et cetera. After the opening plot cataclysm, characters appear in the city through unstable wormholes, and the focus of the game is rebuilding, stone by stone and person by person amidst the turmoil of the cut-off and broken-down city, and trying to get out.
The mods provide a broad canvas and unrolling storyline for the city amidst which players are encouraged to generate their own plots as well as participate in larger plot movements.

Voldemort has been defeated, but years later, the effects of the war still linger. Yet, wizards and witches have overcome and their lives are now free from the direct threat of war. However, there are other trials and tribulations they must face. Will they arise to the challenge or will they fall?
A first person RPG, this game is AU after the events in Harry Potter and the HalfBlood Prince. We play in real time, one day in real life is one day for our characters.
